Does Waseela send or receive money?
No. You pay each other however you already do: cash, bank transfer, anything. Waseela only keeps the record of it.
Do the other people need the app?
No. You can keep track on your own. If they join with their number, they see the same record and can agree to it.
Can I just say it out loud?
Yes. Tap the mic and say it, in Urdu, English or both. You see the words as they're heard, then the card, before anything goes in your records.
Is it proof of a debt, or that someone paid?
No. It's the record you keep together, and Waseela doesn't check it. You can keep a photo with an entry, like a receipt or a bank transfer's screenshot, and everyone in that entry sees it. Waseela doesn't check what the photo shows.
Who can see my records?
Only you, the people a record is with once they join, and anyone you send a share link to. You can also keep someone private, just for you.
Does AI see what I say?
Yes, to write the card. What you say goes to Soniox, which turns it into words; what you say or type goes to Anthropic's Claude, which suggests the card. Neither trains its models on it. Our privacy policy has the details.
Is it free?
Yes. Waseela is free to use right now, with no ads.
Does it charge interest?
No. Waseela doesn't charge, work out or collect interest.
